East Grinstead / Ashdown Forest
The Ashdown Forest - Home of Winnie the Pooh
A.A.Milne set his famous Winnie the Pooh stories in the Ashdown Forest, East Grinstead. It takes about one hour by train from London Victoria Station to East Grinstead Station. How do we get to the Pooh Stick Bridge from there? Go to a village called Hartfield by bus and go to a shop called "Pooh Corner and get a map. You can walk to the bridge from Hartfield but it is not a very pleasant walk though. The road is pretty narrow and does not have a pavement. You had better to get a taxi to the car park in the forest, then start walking. You can walk to "the Pooh Stick Bridge" from the car park within 30 minutes.
